Artist Bio
Marianne Lechner holds a PhD in design and design research, with a specialization in post-digital phenomena and speculative scenarios at the intersection of design and art. At the University of Art and Design Linz and Johannes Kepler University (JKU), she investigates the interplay between technology, society, and design, crafting speculative spaces of possibility that critically reflect on contemporary issues within an expanded future context. Her diverse body of work—spanning various media, techniques, and forms—invites critical engagement with alternative perspectives on the futures. She has been collaborating with d*signweek since 2023.
