Live Coding Visuals With Hydra
Live coding is a performance practice in which computer-based visuals and music are improvised live, with practitioners writing (and often projecting) code to create the performance in real time. The act of coding is made open, transparent, and fun.
Hydra (https://hydra.ojack.xyz) is a live code visuals language inspired by analog synthesis. IIn this workshop, attendees will learn to understand Hydra code, and adapt existing sketches or write their own. With a robust community behind it, Hydra is a great way to get involved with live code and learn from others..
We will also talk about live coding as a practice and code demystification movement.
Some familiarity with code is recommended but expertise is not required. Workshop, with screen and table
