On Thursday–the fourth day of d*signweek–the editorial team dealt with the topic of "Open Source – tool making & tool sharing". The three students Golnaz Farzam, Viktoria Hörndler and Carina Eglhofer printed a zine in three colours on the Risograph printer. They gathered the content for it in the following workshops and talks:

** Live Coding Visuals With Hydra by Sarah Groff–Henning Palermo
** Presentation of Cobbled Paths*** by Open Source Publishing

In addition, two installations for data collection and gathering were developed and implemented:

01 Poster: Visitors to d*signweek were able to vote on their feelings about AI using colourful round stickers on four posters. The following questions were asked:
** How often do you use AI (in your (design) work)?
** What do you use AI tools for mainly?
** How do you feel about AI-generated art/design?
** Does AI change how you value human-made art/design?
There were five possible answers to choose from for each question.

02 Random Image Generator: Visitors to d*signweek were asked to take part in a random image editing experiment. The experiment was structured as follows:
** A line was drawn on a strip of transparent paper.
** A piece of paper with the number 1-14 was drawn (representing the 14
possible effects).
** The parameters of the effect were adjusted based on the line.
Ultimately, a collection of 15 versions of an image was created and used for the editorial.

In addition to the talks, workshops and experiments, notes, sketches and scribbles were collected and reused in different ways.
