==== Project Description ====

Live coding is a performance practice in which computer-based visuals and music are improvised live, with practitioners writing (and often projecting) code to create the performance in real time. The act of coding is made open, transparent, and fun.

Olio (https://olio.sarahghp.com/), a new project of mine, is a live SVG sequencer, which can be played in three manners: just sequencing, prepared sequencing, or live sequencing. Workshop attendees will learn how to use Olio, including writing their own elements and animations. 

We will also talk about live coding as a practice and making one’s own tools. This workshop will be more experimental than the Hydra workshop.

Some familiarity with code is recommended, but expertise is not required.
